Be civil in forums, don't scrape our content, don't share account passwords, respect rights holders (we honor DMCA reports). We can ban accounts that abuse the service. Pro passes are one-time, non-transferable. Refunds within 7 days if you haven't used them. Polish law governs. The full version below explains the details.
By accessing or using RetroPlayland (the "Service") at retroplayland.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding contract between you and RetroPlayland sp. z o.o., a limited liability company registered in Warsaw, Poland under KRS number 0000999999 ("we", "us", "our").
You may use most of the Service anonymously. To save progress, post on the forum, or buy a Pro pass, you must create an account. You agree to:

Violations may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund. Severe violations may be reported to law enforcement.
You retain ownership of forum posts, comments, ratings, and other content you submit ("User Content"). By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, modify (for formatting), and distribute your User Content as part of the Service.

RetroPlayland offers optional paid passes for enhanced features:
All prices are in USD and exclusive of applicable VAT/sales tax, which is added at checkout based on your billing location. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland) for EU customers and Stripe Inc. (USA) elsewhere.
Passes are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. They do not auto-renew. They are non-transferable and tied to your account.
You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if:

The Service, including its design, code, brand, original artwork, original house games (Tetris Reloaded, Neon Snake, etc.), blog articles, and curation, is © 2026 RetroPlayland sp. z o.o. and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
Games in our library remain the property of their respective rights holders. We host content under permissive licenses, abandonware doctrine, or homebrew/freeware terms. See our DMCA Policy if you are a rights holder.
The emulator implementations we use (FCEUMM, SNES9X, Genesis Plus GX, mGBA, Mupen64Plus, Stella, VICE, FUSE, DOSBox-X, etc.) are open-source software released under their respective licenses (GPL, MIT, etc.). Source code attribution is available at retroplayland.com/credits.
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost saves, or lost play time.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including mandatory provisions of EU consumer law).
These Terms remain in effect as long as you use the Service. You may close your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, with or without notice as appropriate.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — IP ownership, liability limits, indemnification, governing law — survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict of laws principles. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
For consumers in the EU: this clause does not deprive you of mandatory protections under your country's consumer law, including the right to bring claims in your local courts.
We encourage resolving disputes amicably by contacting legal@retroplayland.com. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Warsaw, Poland (subject to mandatory consumer law).
